GE MRI gradient shim specifications for BRM, CRM and TRM magnets. Ensure your system is meeting or exceeding OEM specifications with this helpful reference guide.
To ensure proper shimming of the magnet, monitor the overall inhomogeneity change between iterations. If the change is no more than 1-Hz, stop shimming. If the specified overall inhomogeneity cannot be achieved, check and adjust B0 and look for image artifacts. If the problem persists, contact your Support Engineer or MRIPETCTSOURCE for on-site assistance.
It is important to note that all magnets must meet the “Customer Acceptance” values, and Main LVshim must be performed when the values are exceeded, as recommended by the manufacturer. Gradient LVshim is sufficient to maintain an acceptable shim quality as long as the Customer Acceptance values are met.
*The Harmonics are Absolute Values given as Shim to Goal or Customer Acceptance.
