GE MRI Power-On Step by Step Procedure

GE MRI Scanner Power On Procedure
- Apply Power to MRI A1 Main Disconnect Panel
First, locate the A1 main disconnect panel in the MRI equipment room. Ensure incoming power switch is in the upright position. Press the “Main Power On” and “PDU Power” button to provide power to MRI PDU cabinet. Video example available below.
- Turn on MRI Scanner via ACGD PDU cabinet
Now that the breaker is in the horizontal position, flip the breaker back down into the vertical position. Power is applied to the MRI system when the breaker is in the vertical position.
- Press Emo Reset Button
Once the MRI scanner is powered on, press the green “Emo Reset” button next to the breaker. The Emo Reset button powers on MRI subsystems that control critical scan functions. This step should not be skipped.
- Power on MRI Computer
(Skip to next step if computer boots to login screen successfully.)
Press the power button on the HP computer inside the Global Operator Console. - Lastly, Login to GE MRI Applications
Once the login screen appears, enter username and password.
