How To Shut Down GE CT
For optimal performance, GE recommends performing a shut down and start up every 24 hours.
1. Click the shut down icon
Click on the red shut down icon. It is located on the upper left corner of the right side monitor.
2. Select “Shutdown” from the pop-up window.
The pop-up window contains three options: Logout User, Restart, and Shutdown. In this case, select the Shutdown option.
3. Click “OK”.
This will initiate the GE CT shutdown procedure. Allow up to 5 minutes for system to completely shut down.
4. Wait for “System Halted” message to appear.
This is a critical step. Allow system to completely power down before proceeding.
5. Power off CT console.
Once “System Halted” message appears at the bottom of the screen, wait 5 seconds, then power down the console vie the GOC power switch.
